YEAR 2025:
The EDM scene is exploding - bigger crowds, larger festivals, and global attention unlike anything before.
PLUR is still very alive in many places: the hugs, the kandi and trinkets, the unity amongst strangers - all of it still burns bright!
But something subtle is shifting. As the scene surges further into the mainstream, massive corporate interest drives growth - brands, promoters, and companies who see dollar signs, not values. Profit becomes the priority. For most events, PLUR is simply a slogan - authentic connection a selling point.
The culture is growing faster than the meaning behind it can be taught. New ravers arrive in waves, but far fewer understand the foundation and their role in its preservation.
PLUR isn’t dying - not in a way most people can see. In the best pockets of the community, it still feels infinite.
But the imbalance is real: the more the scene expands, the more thinly PLUR is stretched. The good vibes mask the slow, invisible fade taking root beneath the surface.
What feels small or isolated now is actually the beginning of a long, incremental unraveling.
YEAR 2191:
The slow fade becomes a freefall. A cold world run by algorithms, automation, and artificial intelligence grows efficient - but emotionally hollow - leaving society starved for authenticity and the warmth of community.
In a world optimized for efficiency and profit-over-people - genuine human connection collapses.
The cracks that took so long to take hold, spread faster than anyone imagined. PLUR wasn't rejected - it was diluted. With teaching absent, apathy won. And once the decline hit critical mass, the fall accelerated.
What took 174 years to erode vanishes in less than a decade.
YEAR 2199:
PLUR is completely extinct among humans.
Communities are dust - void of connection. People drone on without unity, and the world moves forward without meaning.
But nature holds a secret. Animals - untouched by greed or ego - have quietly preserved the purest fragments of PLUR deep within them.
A small group of these special animals awaken, unite, and form WOMP, intent on preventing PLUR's permanent annihilation. They become known as the PLURanimals.
Using the remnants of human innovation, they build a time machine and launch themselves back to 2025.
Their mission: Tap into the vast pockets of PLUR and call on the strength of the dedicated community - multiplying, magnifying, and maintaining PLUR before the collapse begins - rewriting the future by changing the past.
They have the blueprint to salvation. Discuss it, wear it, teach it, share it, grow it. Face the problem. Most importantly... UNITY IS KEY!

The WOMP Theory:
DEATH by DILUTION.
PLUR’s fate is under quiet attack. Capitalism has flooded the scene and it is exploding — but growth without leadership and education leaves newcomers unguided, and unequipped to fully adopt our community ethos.
Picture... an eyedropper. Black ink. An Olympic-sized pool.
One drop is nothing — but drip after drip, the water darkens.
Yet dump that pool into a lake — it's clear again.
Dilution works both ways.
Right now, darkness is trickling in — one drop at a time.
PLUR’s purity is fading; its health is compromised.
Is PLUR dying? No — not yet. But it’s DIEluting, and will end up dying completely, unless we act together, and reverse it.
Proactivity is protection!

Large pockets within the scene still feel vibrant — where PLUR is flourishing — creating an illusion that skews the truth.
Zoom out. Factor in every event (and beyond the EDM world) and you’ll see where the clarity is compromised.

Natural reactions, yes — also part of the problem.
Obviously, we can’t force people to change. But…
